If there's a charge in your account that you don't recognize, it might be one of the following:
Usage fee
If you purchased a pass or membership, a set length of time is covered with the purchase price. For Monthly and Annual Members, the first 45 minutes of each ride is included. After this, members will be charged $0.17 every additional minute.
For non-members, there is a usage fee of $0.19 per minute. All per-minute ride prices are rounded up to the nearest minute.
Please note that members are billed weekly. Ride fees from each previous week are combined into one charge. Go to your billing information in the Payment section of your app to see your next billing date.
Abandoned bike fee
If you have kept a bike out for more than 24 consecutive hours, it is considered at risk of being lost or stolen, and there is a fee of $1,200 (plus tax). This can also happen if your bike wasn't docked properly. Your ride may have stayed open, and someone else may have taken the bike without returning it.
Out of service area fee
Ebike riders will be charged an out of service area fee of $25 for bikes returned outside the service area. View the service area map here.
Ebike ride fee
Ebike rides will incur an additional charge. Non-members will pay $0.49/min for ebike rides. Members will pay $0.17/min for ebike rides. Bike Share for All members will pay $0.05/min up to the $1 cap.
Payment authorizations
Lyft uses temporary authorizations to confirm your payment method works and has enough funds to cover bike ride costs. Learn more about payment authorizations here.
