A bike that has been out for more than 24 consecutive hours is considered at risk of being lost or stolen. The renter is responsible for returning the bike to the system and locking it correctly. You may be charged a $1,200 (plus tax) abandoned bike fee if your bike is left unlocked and unattended at any time during your ride.

Avoid abandoned bike fees by always ensuring your bike has been properly locked and your ride has ended. You can also set up notifications on your phone, so you’ll be alerted when your ride has ended successfully.
